The Barca-Halls' Owl Box

Owls have such amazing rotation capability in their necks, they can *almost* turn their head a full 360 degrees, as you can see in this clip.

There’s not much going on in the daily summaries because every day has been pretty much like this: Leonard and Luna relaxing in the box all day, grooming each other. Then one or the other or both are out hunting most of the night. No mating going on. No babies or eggs to take care of. Weather’s mild. Plenty of food available as they keep our rodent population under control. We’re hoping the twelve fledged owlets are all healthy and finding places to settle as Luna and Leonard approach a new mating season this winter.
